Accountant

Qualifications:

 Duties and Responsibilities:
 May be assigned as one of the following:

 ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE CLERK
 A. DISCHARGE JOURNAL SUMMARY

  • Verifies daily discharged summary against patient’s ledger for open and closed accounts
  • Ensures accuracy of amount indicated in official receipts posted in patient’s ledger
  • Reviews submitted ledgers and forwards the same to A/R Clerks assigned for specific accounts for proper billing and correct entries of accounts receivable
  • prepares monthly report of total accounts receivable per discharge summary

B. PATIENT LEDGERS/OPEN ACCOUNT

  • Classifies patient’s ledger with open accounts accordingly
  • Prepares subsidiary ledgers for patients with various classifications of open accounts
  • Photocopies supporting documents for attachment to monthly reports
  • Collects in and out-patient charges
  • Prepares monthly accounts receivable report of assigned accounts
  • Encodes summary of accounts receivable reports to PowerApps
  • Prepares monthly summary of collection. Posts payments to corresponding patient ledgers
  • Prepares professional fees payable for approval of head and submits the same to accounts payable section for processing
  • Prepares journal vouchers for adjustments
  • Prepares monthly and fiscal year-end inventory of accounts receivable

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK
A. PROCESSING OF VOUCHER FOR SUPPLIERS OF GOODS/SUPPLIES

  • Checks original invoices against receiving report for any discrepancies
  • Checks invoice information such as quantity, description and unit price against purchase order
  • Posts invoice number and receiving report number to purchase order for reference
  • Files invoices according to supplier and date of receipt
  • Assigns accounts payable voucher per supplier
  • Checks the invoices of Dietary Services and assigned vouchers
  • Prepares list of regular suppliers semi-annually for BIR purposes

B. PROCESSING OF PROFESSIONAL FEES VOUCHER

  • Prepares professional fees vouchers of doctors
  • Posts check voucher to PowerApps
  • Files accounts payable voucher and check voucher

C. PROCESSING OF PHILHEALTH REFUNDS

  • Verifies Philhealth payments on Medicare Refund Slips (MRS) against voucher and official receipts
  • Posts payments on patient’s ledgers and MRS on vouchers
  • Forwards verified MRS with attached ledgers to Department Head for approval
  • Prepares Accounts Payable Vouchers (APV) upon approval of MRS
  • Records APV number, amount to be refunded and date on the MRS, and patient ledger
  • Forwards APV with attached MRS to Department Head for approval
  • Files duplicates MRS according to series number
  • Prepares petty cash for refunds in accordance with the approved Refund Policy
Audiologist

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of MS Clinical Audiology
  • Preferably with two years of training or work experience
  • Must be knowledgeable in basic computer applications
  • Must have good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Customer service-oriented
  • Willing to work for extended hours

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administers and interprets variety of tests to determine type and degree of hearing impairment, site of damage, and effects on comprehension and speech
  • Administers vestibular tests and site of lesion testing
  • Conducts counseling of patients
  • Gives necessary audiological recommendation
  • Makes audiological reports of patients as needed
  • Conducts case history taking of patients as needed
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Occasional Duties:

  • Administers audiological and vestibular tests to group of individuals outside the Center as requested
  • Performs minor trouble shooting of equipment or refers to distributor any machine malfunctions
  • Participates in meetings, continuing education, training, staff development programs and research activities
Echosonographer

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of BS Nursing or BS Medical Technology
  • Must be a Registered Nurse or Licensed Medical Technologist
  • Must have good communication and interpersonal skills

 Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Instructs patients on the preparation/s needed prior to Echocardiographic procedures, if any
  • Performs procedures such as 2-D Echo, 2-D Echo with contrast studies, 2-D Echo with Doppler studies, Carotid Doppler studies, Peripheral Vascular Doppler and Renal Duplex scan, Dobutamine Stress Echo under the supervision of a cardiovascular physician
  • Assists in the performance of Transesophageal Echocardiography
  • Assists in echocardiogram interpretation
  • Prepares monitoring machines and tapes for use of medical staff
  • Types patient information on index cards
  • Maintains records of patients
  • Assists in the maintenance of different machines in custody

Electrical Engineer

 Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that all electrical/heavy equipment are in good working condition at all times
  • Supervises and monitors the scheduling and implementation of repairs and maintenance programs by making rounds in the hospital facilities, doing on-spot checks and requiring section chiefs to make daily and weekly reports

Elevator Operator

Qualifications:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Transports passenger to the floor of destination through proper operation of the elevator car
  • Greets passengers
  • Assists patients on wheelchair or stretcher during transport
  • Delivers passengers to the right floor of destination
  • Ensures that the elevator car is clean and presentable
  • Reports any defects on elevator car to the service company immediately after occurrence
  • Reports to the Housekeeping Supervisor any matter regarding operation of elevator

Head
(Chief Accountant)

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of BS Accountancy
  • Must be a Certified Public Accountant
  • Preferably with at least five to ten years work experience in General Accounting with at least two years of experience in supervisory level

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Directs and coordinates the systematic recording of all financial reports of the Hospital
  • Verifies and certifies the accuracy of financial statements/reports, vouchers, statements of account, trial balance, etc.
  • Ensures error-free preparation of accounting reports
  • Directs and supervises the implementation of an appropriate accounting system and the maintenance and updating of the Hospital’s book of accounts

Mechanical Engineer

Qualifications:

 Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates the performance of mechanical components, devices and engines
  • Maintains and modifies equipment to ensure that it is safe, reliable and efficient
  • Produces and implements designs and test procedures then presents them to managers and/or clients
  • Confirms products capabilities by doing feasibility and testing methods
  • Writes reports, creates documentation and provides technical advice

  • Renders holistic quality nursing care to patients

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Acts on the endorsement items such as to follow meds, non-formulary drugs, pending TPN preparation, IV admixtures, anti-neoplastics and galenical preparations and other problems encountered during the shift
  • Keeps shelves and the working area clean and orderly. Checks assigned shelves on availability of drugs for refilling of stocks
  • Reviews prescriptions to assure accuracy and to ascertain the needed ingredients
  • Dispenses drugs to out-patients and in unit dose drug distribution system to in-patients
  • Provides patients with information and other particular pertaining to drugs
  • Coordinates with clinical pharmacist regarding non-formulary drugs
  • Prepares TPN, IV admixtures, anti-neoplastics preparation, aseptically following SOPs and also makes galenical preparation for both in and out patients
  • Records all exempt preparations on the book
  • Prepares 24-hour medication for Community Center patients
