Cardiac Technologist

 

Qualifications: 

  • Female
  • Graduate of BS Nursing or BS Medical Technology

 Duties and Responsibilities

  • Explains testing procedures to patient to obtain cooperation and reduce anxiety
  • Performs tests to record patient’s cardiac activity using specialized electronic test equipment and laboratory instruments
  • Assists cardiovascular physicians in the performance of Treadmill Stress Test and Transesophageal Echocardiography
  • Hooks up patient for 24-Hour Holter Monitoring and prepares and prints recording for official reading of physicians
  • Hooks up cardiac monitoring as well as ambulatory BP monitoring
  • Brings defibrillator, ECG and cardiac monitor to the ward/emergency room in response to a mayday call
  • Prepares reports of diagnostic procedures for interpretation by cardiologists
  • Clarifies contents of reports from physicians
  • Transcribes dictations from readers/cardiologists
  • Prepares daily summary of income
  • Updates card files of patients and test results
  • Files copies of different procedures according to their respective case numbers
  • Assists in maintenance of the different machines in custody
  • Maintains the cleanliness and orderliness of machines and other facilities of the entire unit for availability and usage

CT-MRI Technologist

 

Qualifications

  • Graduate of BS Radiologic Technology
  • Must be a Licensed Radiologic Technologist

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs various CT/MRI procedures as prescribed by the Radiologist on duty.
    1. Checks request as to type of examination to be done and completeness of information
    2. Gives instructions, explains to patient what to expect in the procedure and advises patient of the contraindications.
    3. Ensures that the patient or relative properly signs the consent form.
    4. Prepares items and equipment necessary for the procedure
    5. Assists in positioning the patient before, during and after the procedure
    6. Performs the desired examination
  • Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedures.
  • Performs computer processing and related techniques, producing images for interpretation.
  • Strictly follows CT-MRI protocols to ensure optimal scanner performance in terms of image quality.
  • Immediately notifies superior of any image artifacts or any equipment problem or malfunction.
  • Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of the working area.
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Medical Technologist

 

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of BS Medical Technology

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs complex medical laboratory tests using manual, semi-manual and automated equipment and computerized instruments
  • Operates, calibrates and maintains equipment used in quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Adheres to quality control standards and monitors programs to ensure the accuracy of laboratory results
  • Sets up, cleans, and maintains laboratory equipment
  • Helps maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of equipment and work station
  • Issues results and prepares reports

Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Qualifications:

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Explains test procedures and safety precautions to patients and provide them with assistance during test procedures.
  • Prepares stock solutions of radioactive materials and calculates doses to be administered to patients.
  • Performs any of the following procedures:
    1. Uptake measurements, Thyroid imaging, and whole body scan
    2. Large Organ Imaging
    3. Radioimmunoassay tests
    4. Thyroglobulin
    5. Anti TG and Anti TM assays
    6. Blood extraction prior to thyroid function tests
  • Processes and develops films of acquired studies to make them available for consultant’s reading
  • Logs results of procedures for reference purposes
  • Files plates of patients properly
  • Calibrates equipment such as Gamma Camera, Gamma Counter, Thyroid Uptake machine, Atomlab dose calibrator and other radioisotope equipment
  • Monitors the whole section for any radioactive contamination using the Survey Meter PDRI
  • Numbers clean glass tubes for specimen collection
  • Separates serum daily for preservation until the processing time
  • Performs inventory of received and consumed reagents
  • Dispose of radioactive materials and store radiopharmaceuticals, following radiation safety procedures
  • Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of the working area

Staff Nurse

 

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of BS Nursing

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Renders holistic quality nursing care to patients
  • Assesses patient’s condition through nursing history, physical examination, identification of objective and subjective signs and symptoms and review of medical records
  • Develops plan of care and prioritizes individualized patients’ needs and problems
  • Carries out doctors’ order on admission, medication treatments, diagnostic procedures, surgery, transfer and discharge
  • Carries out plan of care from admission until discharge of patient and refers to physician accordingly
  • Prepares and administers medications and other treatments as indicated
  • Prepares patients for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
  • Provides psychological, emotional, social and spiritual support to patients and relatives
  • Gives health teachings to patients and relatives

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepares the patient's bed, room and supplies to be used according to the specifications of examination
  • Explains procedure to patients and instructs or assists patients in assuming physical position for required exposure
  • Performs echographic examinations according to specific orders and parts of the body to be examined
  • Ensures accurate positive image of internal organs
  • Provides assistance to consultants in interventional procedures 
  • Provides assistance to technical problems
  • Monitors the use of E-kit in the unit
  • Conducts daily preventive maintenance of machines
  • Updates doctor's statistics based on examinations performed
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned from time to time

Teller

 

Qualifications: 

  • Female
  • Graduate of a 4 year course (at least with a Banking and Finance subject)
  • Must have at least one year work exposure on financial transactions as teller or cashier
  • Must know how to operate cash register, adding machine and validating machine
  • Must have good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Customer service-oriented
  • Must be knowledgeable on basic computer applications

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receives cash, checks or credit card payments from customers for hospital bills, charges from different departments/Ancillary Departments, and office rental from doctors, other rental fees from lessee with leasing agreement and other kinds of collections for the hospital.
  • Counts money to verify the amount compared with the actual charges and other pertinent documents, issues Official Receipts/ Provisional Receipts/ Official Acknowledgment Receipts and issues correct cash changes if there is any.
  • Prepares tellers report for the total collections per shift with corresponding deposits to the designated hospital bank accounts and with complete notations necessary for the report as required by the Accounting Department
  • Addressed customers concerns related to charges/ hospital bills being paid.
  1. When assigned at Check Releasing and Patient Refund Monitoring:
  • Receives checks from the Accounting Department, verifies the completeness of transactions and arranges checks according to degree of priority and sends them appropriate signatories.
  • Determines completeness of checks received from authorized signatories and verifies to whether all have documents have been duly signed.
  • Arranges checks, duly signed by signatories and are ready for release, according to their due dates.
  • Monitors status and whereabouts of checks that are already due but not yet on hand.
  • Answers queries and follow-ups from payees, suppliers and other clients. Releases checks on according to due dates then records the same on the system.
  • Forwards the vouchers and other pertinent documents, which serves as attachments for checks to the Accounting Department.
  • Monitors patients refunds, verifies accuracy, summarizes refunds and prepares report for replenishment

B. When assigned as Custodian of Petty Cash Refund, Report Verification, Provisional receipt Monitoring, Property and supplies Custodian, Check Releasing, Schedule Preparation and Teller Monitoring:

  • Monitors petty cash fund disbursements, follows-up liquidations from various departments with cash advances and verifies completeness and correctness of supporting documents of the liquidations made by various departments, prepares report for petty cash fund replenishment and checks petty cash fund balances.
  • Verifies correctness of cash proof sheet prepared by tellers for each shift by comparing total reported income versus the supporting documents total and others.
  • Monitors Provisional Receipts that may be issued with the Official receipt
  • Issues Provisional Receipts
  • Prepares monthly requisitions for department supplies.
  • Prepares monthly schedule of staff after confirming with the Cashier-in-charge/immediate superior.
  • Assist on the releasing of checks to suppliers.
