About Joint and Bone Center

The JOINT AND BONE CENTER (JBC) was established at the University of Santo Tomas Hospital under the auspices of the Section of Rheumatology, Clinical Immunology and Osteoporosis of the Department of Medicine. The Center was blessed and inaugurated on December 14, 1998 and became fully operational in January 1999.

The center administers the Rheumatology & Clinical Immunology Unit and the Osteoporosis (Bone Densitometry) Unit of the JBC. These two Units comprise the focal center for the Fellowship Training Program in Rheumatology, Clinical Immunology & Osteoporosis. These Units are actively involved in a wide scope of activities that encompass patient care, academics and research as well as interrelated responsibilities and activities outside the faculty and hospital institution.
