The Digestive Endoscopy Unit is the component of the USTH under the Department of Medicine and Section of Gastroenterology that offers diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy for gastrointestinal diseases. An extension of its services are procedures involving liver diseases like; US guide liver biopsy, paracentesis, RFA and percutaneous ethanol injection.

The Unit is actively involved in research on GI diseases and in the training of future competent gastroenterologists. Some of the staff members are likewise involved in nurturing the young minds of future doctors by teaching at the UST Faculty of Medicine and Surgery.

ELUXEO video processor VP-7000

The ELUXEO video processor VP-7000 enables us to make use of the many features provided by Fujifilm’s wide range of endoscopes (gastroscopes, colonoscope, duodenoscopes and ultrasonic endoscope) alo0ng with the 4-LED illumination system and it’s LCI and BLI visualization modes. The processor creates high quality images displayed in full HD on the monitor. Automatic back-up mode for data storage is integrated.
