All these programs have robust outcome- based curricula which are facilitated by highly respected specialists. Majority of the staff are also affiliated with the UST Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, ensuring the best teaching approaches and styles, resulting in ideal learning opportunities for the residents in training.

Residents are exposed to a variety of cases, and each patient encounter is guided by consultant staff, who are always at hand to critique and to appraise, to correct and to guide, with the ultimate goal of teaching the residents to make the best choices for their patients.

USTH is a teaching hospital One of the benefits that the residents have, which may not be present in other institutions,  is the opportunity to teach their younger colleagues- the clinical clerks and interns. Our residents play a vital role in the clinical progression and development of our clerks and interns.
